Norway has shown many times to be innovative. One good example is DIPS and MEDIT. Both Norwegian companies established around the same time in 1996/97 have shown that Norwegian technologies can meet demands in the international and national marked.
These to companies started early a co operation to include MedIT`s ECG into DIPS data system and have for many years had a steady ECG module from MedIT inbuilt. There are several advantages with having the ECG incorporated in the EPJ.
- Single point of access You don’t need to log into different system
- Quality assurance With one log in you don’t mix patient ID`s
- ECG records are shown in the patients Journal and with one mouse click you have the whole ECG on the screen, where you can edit and compare with other ECG from the patient.
